Jennifer Gilmore Foley(Arlington, TX) grew up in the Arlington area and studied for 15 years under Jan Roeton at the Arlington Dance Academy and five years at the Margo Dean School of Ballet. Jennifer was a competition dancer and studied all forms of dance including tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, pointe and modern. Jennifer graduated from Arlington High and attended Texas Christian University where she received a Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education ELA. Jennifer began teaching dance at the age of 15 and continued through college. She has been a teacher in Mansfield ISD and is currently one of the dance directors at the Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy. She has continued learning and training throughout her life and has studied with many master dance educators across the country. Jennifer teaches a variety of classes at Momentum and does much of the company’s choreography. She has received a number of choreography awards over the past 11 years at both the regional and national levels. Her students have gone on to prestigious university dance programs and have been hired in a number of professional arenas including MET Dance. Jennifer married her husband Josh in November of 2016 and recently was blessed with a baby girl, Memphis Leigh, in January of 2019. Jennifer believes is technique as a foundation and in pushing dancers to excel technically, but also artistically. She feels extremely blessed to get to do what she loves each and every day and looks forward to each new season with the studio. Her passion for dance is shared with all of her students, regardless of age or level!
